Why are you called "the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission" when you only serve Prince George's and Montgomery counties?
Article 28 of the Annotated Code of Maryland empowered the Commission to prepare and administer a General Plan for the physical development of a Regional District for the two Maryland counties that border the District of Columbia, namely Prince George's and Montgomery counties.

What potential is there for career growth at the Commission?
The potential for career growth is available through a combination of education, experience, and opportunity. The Prince George's Planning Department has about 180 career positions. However, our staff have access to career growth in all of M-NCPPC, which includes several thousand positions.

No. We are an independent organization established in 1927 by the Maryland General Assembly to practice long-range planning and park acquisition and development for Prince George's and Montgomery counties.
